The Samsung UNC8000 LED series consists of the same model sizes as last year’s UNB8000 with a couple of reported new options to begin shipping in the future:

• Rallycast widget – A multi-purpose internet tool and widget, Rallycast allows you to have access to your text messages, facebook messages, twitter messages, fantasy sports leagues and more… pretty darn cool

In the middle of the pack, offering shoppers a good mix of features, picture performance and pricing is the Luxia B7000 series. There are a few major differences to note when comparing the 46B8500 versus the 46B7000, the most notable being:

• ** Edge-LED instead of LED with local dimming as mentioned above… picture quality decreases as mentioned above… lack of new widgets mentioned above

• RF vs IF Remote controls – The Samsung UN-B8500 and UN-b8000 have rf remotes which don’t require a line of sight to the television to work, the UN-B7000 models need to be pointed and have line of sight to work

The Samsung Luxia B6000 series and the UN46B6000 are a more value orientated lineup, taking down some features in favour of a cheaper price, below are the biggest changes to consider when you compare the Samsung un46b8500 versus the un46b6000 LED televisions:

• Media and internet features: – The biggest change on the UNb6000 series is the price and the loss of an array of internet content and media features.
